Thames Valley Adventure Playground is based on a 2.5 acre site adjacent to the A4 in Taplow, near Maidenhead, Berkshire, the Playground is open to children and adults with all types of special need, however, mild or profound, their siblings and parents/carers.
Open Tuesday to Saturday all year round, Fridays are reserved for adults with special needs. 
People visit with families and as individuals, or with groups from schools, playschemes, day centres and residential units.
The Playground is an OFSTED-registered day-care facility, run by a voluntary Board of Trustees, with on-site care provided by 6 full-time and ten sessional staff, supported by a loyal band of volunteers. Registered Charity No: 278336

Jessie’s Fund was established as a registered charity in 1995 and helps children with serious illness, complex needs, and communication difficulties through the therapeutic use of music. Music can provide a powerful and profound way in which children can express themselves and connect with the world around them. Our work covers all areas of the UK.

Providing First Aid Support when needed. They will be based at Central Control and able to attend walkers on site if necessary.


A UK National Amateur Radio Enthusiasts. RAYNET Stands For : Radio Amateurs Emergency Network. They provide radio communications and logging of team locations while on the course. They are at Central Control and each check point and with the Search and Rescue vehicles. They have supported the event over 35 years and we thank them for their continuing support. They use the event to rehearse communications in event of a Civil Emergencies as a back up to the Home Office statutory services.
